- As Zorba says: "Trouble? Life is trouble. Only death is no trouble.
- That's it! When people say to me "Do you have optimism about the world, how terrible it is?" - I say yes. Just say it’s great - just the way it is.


- 'All life is sorrowful' is the first Buddhist saying, and it is. It wouldn't be life if there were not temporality involved, which is sorrow. Loss, loss, loss.
- That's a pessimist note.
- No! I mean, we gotta say yes to it. It's great this way - it's the way god intended to be.
- Do you really believe that?
- This is the way it is. I don't believe that anybody intended that, but this is the way it is.
